OpenOffice

OpenOffice is a free, open source software equivalent to (or better than) Microsoft Office. This means that OpenOffice.org is freely and openly available to download from the internet.

See www.openoffice.org or www.openoffice.org.nz for more details and free download instructions.

OpenOffice.org can read and write Microsoft Office files so there is no need to save in a special format. OpenOffice documents can be converted into MS Word or PDF files.

OpenOffice.org is rapidly improving on importing Microsoft Office files, OpenOffice works with Microsoft Office 2003, Microsoft Office XP and Microsoft Office 2000. Support for Microsoft Office 2007 is only available in combination with Microsoft Office 2007 SP1.
