The New Zealand School of Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine has been placing students in various Chinese and other overseas hospital internships for more than 10 years. Students have gained clinical experience at TCM hospitals all over China, including Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

Our School has a formal affiliation with Liaoning Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which treats over 667,000 patients per year and performs ten thousand outpatient treatments per day. For students who choose to go to China, for acupuncture, herbal or tuina internship, this is a very rewarding experience.

The School's affiliation with Liaoning TCM Hospital has lead to a new cooperative relationship between our two institutions to develop curriculum and support international exchange in the field of medicine.

The teaching hospital is one of the largest and well equipped TCM facilities in China. Students find that professors are willing to share their latest research, and staff doctors were free to demonstrate new techniques in the field. Our collaboration with leaders of Chinese medical education has allowed us to bring the most recent advances in TCM medical therapy to our educational programs.
