Classroom Attendance

Students are expected to attend all scheduled class sessions, and are required to arrive on time. Absence may be excused for childbirth, documented illness, injury, death in the family, or other emergency situations acceptable to Administration.

Students should call the School as soon as practical on the first day of absence, and give an estimate of the duration of the absence. Failure to give prompt notice is considered a breach of professional etiquette. In all acupuncture technique courses, and other designated courses, no absences are allowed. Arrangements must be made to make up missed classes.

Admitted students should familiarise themselves with the Student Handbook for further details related to classroom conduct.

Late Arrival

Students must report to or call the administrative desk before attending your class. Students are not allowed into class until the first available break. Three late arrivals are the equivalent of one absence. Three unexplained / unacceptable absences are grounds for administrative withdrawal from your course.

The first six weeks of the course are to sort out transportation timetables, routes and modes of travel that will get you to class on time. After that continued lateness or absence with be grounds for administrative withdrawal. Late arrival to class is a discourtesy to both instructor and fellow students and an indication of lack of proper professional attitude and behaviour as you will then further disrupt class by asking for explanation of missed material. The instructor may request further action by Administration.

Clinic Attendance

Students are permitted to treat clients only with staff acupuncturist permission or supervision. Students ignoring this requirement will be asked to leave the course.

Any student attending the school's student clinic is expected to observe the ethics of professional conduct, as well as the philosophies of the school. No food in classrooms, or smoking on premises.
